These terms apply when you use this website. By using it, you accept them. They only cover the website: any roofing work we do for you is agreed with you separately.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

This website is run by A & G Roofing, a roofing business based in Bridlington, East Yorkshire.

Using the website

You're welcome to use this website to find out about our work and to get in touch. Please don't:

• use it for anything unlawful, or to send spam through the estimate form
• try to break into it, overload it or interfere with how it works
• upload anything harmful, or anything you don't have the right to send us
• copy large parts of it, or collect information from it automatically, for commercial use

We may change, suspend or take down any part of the website. We try to keep it running, but can't promise it will always be available.

The information on it

Our pages and guides give general information to help you understand roofing work, and the rules that can apply to it. They aren't advice about your particular roof, which we'd need to see. Rules such as planning permission can change and depend on your property, so check anything important with your council.

We work hard to keep the website accurate and up to date, but we can't promise that every detail always is.

Inspections, estimates and quotes

Our roof inspections are free, and so is the quotation that follows. There's no obligation to go ahead. If you choose an estimate from your photos instead, that's free too, and it's our best idea of the price, not a final quote, because a roof can only be fully checked in person. Either way, we'll agree the work and the price with you before anything starts.

When you agree work with us at your home, you normally have 14 days to change your mind. We'll explain your right to cancel when we confirm the job.

Reviews

The reviews on this website were written by our customers on Checkatrade, where reviews are checked before they appear. We copy them word for word, spelling slips and all, and never change them or write our own. You can read every review, including the latest, on our Checkatrade page.

Our photos, words and logos

The photos and words on this website belong to us. Please don't copy them, or use them on another website or in an advert, without asking us first. Other names and logos on the website, such as Checkatrade, TrustATrader and SkillBuild, belong to their owners.

Links to other websites

We link to other websites, such as Checkatrade, Facebook, WhatsApp and council websites, because we think they'll be useful. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what's on them.

Our responsibility to you

We aren't responsible for any loss caused by relying on the general information on this website without asking us about your own roof. If you use the website for a business, we aren't responsible for any loss of profit, business or opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

We check every photo sent through the estimate form, and the website runs on secure hosting, but we can't guarantee that any website is free from viruses. Please use up-to-date security software on your own devices.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed, and the version on the website when you use it is the one that applies.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your own courts.
