Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whether you use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, zoom or a very small screen.

Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most UK websites work to. We designed and built this website with that in mind from the start, and we keep checking it as it changes.
What you can do on this website
- use every part of it with a keyboard alone, with a clear outline showing where you are, and skip straight to the content
- zoom in up to 400% without text being cut off or the page scrolling sideways
- use a screen reader: pages have proper headings, links and buttons say what they do, and photos have descriptions
- fill in the estimate form with a screen reader: every box is labelled, and any mistake is explained in words, not just colour
- stop the movement: if your device is set to reduce motion, nothing on the site moves by itself
- read the text easily: colours meet the WCAG AA contrast standard
- tap buttons and links easily on a phone, as they're a comfortable size
The AbilityNet “My Computer My Way” website explains how to make your device easier to use, for example by making text bigger or turning on reduced motion.
Known limitations
We know about these, and we're working on them where we can:
- Things that move by themselves. On phones, the reviews on the homepage move on by themselves, and the before-and-after slider and the stages of our flat roof job change every few seconds. You can pause the reviews with the pause button, the slider stops as soon as you use it, and the stages stop while you're using them. None of them move if your device is set to reduce motion.
- The spam check on the form. It's provided by Cloudflare. Very occasionally it may ask you to tick a box. If it gives you any trouble, call, email or WhatsApp us instead.
- The map of the areas we cover is a drawing. Every town on it is also listed in words beside it.
- Other websites. We link to Checkatrade, TrustATrader, Facebook and WhatsApp, which we don't control. Their accessibility is up to them.
Other ways to reach us
You don't have to use the website to book a free inspection or get an estimate. You can:
- call Alfie on 07889 455361 or George on 07842 338733
- send a message or photos on WhatsApp
- email aandgroofingservice@gmail.com
If you'd rather tell us about the problem on the phone than fill in the form, that's absolutely fine.
Tell us about a problem
If any part of this website doesn't work for you, or you need information in a different format, please tell us using any of the ways above. Let us know the page and what went wrong, and we'll do our best to fix it and to help you in the meantime.
If you're not happy with our response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can give you free advice.
How we tested this website
We last checked the whole website on the date shown at the top of this page. We:
- ran every page through an automated accessibility checker (axe), at phone and computer sizes, and fixed everything it found
- went through the pages and the estimate form using only a keyboard
- checked every page at 320 pixels wide, the same as zooming in to 400%
- checked every page with reduced motion turned on, and with JavaScript turned off
It hasn't yet been tested by disabled people or with every screen reader. When it is, we'll update this statement. We review it at least once a year, and whenever the website changes significantly.
